I'm an experience researcher and designer based in the Washington, DC/Baltimore region. My work spans digital products, embodied spatial environments, and the full human journeys that move between them. I've designed for patient treatment experiences, public library systems, healthcare organizations, nonprofits, and startups, and each has shaped how I understand design's role in people's lives.

My background is unconventional, and it shows in how I work. I approach every project with careful observation, attention to behavioral nuance, and a willingness to sit with complexity before reaching for a solution. That carries through whether I'm mapping a digital patient journey, shaping a live spatial experience, or somewhere in between.

Through Terra UXR, I work across sectors with one consistent belief: good design begins with genuine care for people, the systems they navigate, and the environments they inhabit. How can design help living systems thrive together? That question drives everything.

Hi, I’m Francesca…

How we work

Every engagement at Terra UXR is led by me. I'm your direct point of contact and I'm accountable for the quality and direction of the work from start to finish. When a project calls for it, I bring in trusted collaborators I've personally vetted and worked with before.

You get senior attention on every project without the overhead of a large agency or the risk of your work landing on someone junior's desk. Just focused, accountable research and design from someone who's genuinely invested in getting it right.

Tell me what you're building.
